   Get To Know Me Better!

   

   My name is Rachael Lee and I’m here to tell you a little bit more about myself and my ideal dream vacation. I am an extremely fun-loving person who loves to soak up the sun and pamper myself(who doesnt?!). I enjoy experiencing new things out of my daily encounters and always look forward to take on challenges that life throws my way. If I could go anywhere in the world right now, I would jet off to Thailand, the Land of Smiles. But unfortunately my final examinations would not permit me to go anywhere at the moment. So the only way I can satisfy my thirst for going somewhere new and exotic is by planning and researching on my trip and in the event I do get a chance to embark on an adventure in the near future, I’m all set and ready to go! I am looking forward to the relaxation and time away from the busy school life to unwind and lose myself in a different city. I want to totally immerse myself in a new place and experience and after the trip be able to say that I was able to really learn something as an independent tourist. I hope I will be filled with a sense of serenity and inner peace and become more aware of my surroundings and learn to notice every single beautiful detail life has to offer. So this is my story and here is how I plan to make it happen. I hope you guys enjoy reading my blog and maybe I can inspire you to be adventurous and jet off to somewhere exotic and immerse yourself too!

   Being an extremely energetic and adventurous soul, I LOVE new experiences and culture shocks. I chose Bangkok because it will be something different and I know I will have learnt alot after this vacation. It is a beautiful and serene place to go to and I hope I can appreciate every moment to the fullest. This experience will help me become more independent and mature. Also, Bangkok being an extremely tourist friendly city, I shouldnt face any major problems while venturing out on my own for the first time. I want to be amazed and want to open my senses to something totally DIFFERENT from the West and BANGKOK, HERE I COME!

   
   
   

   I have heard so many thrilling and unusual stories about Thailand (all in a good way ofcourse!). This destination truly offers the perfect holiday for any visitor as theres something for everyone. I hope to learn about the fascinating culture of the people, visit ancient temples, secluded hillsides and jungles. I want to marvel at the rich traditions and visit the centre of the renowned “Golden Triangle”, shop for handicrafts and great bargains in Bangkok. There’s plenty to discover this exciting city! This escape will be a fantastic getaway and romance destination for my boyfriend and myself!

   Based on my research, I feel like Bangkok began as a small trading centre and port community on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River some 200 years ago. Today, while the city is up to speed with modern times, the grandeur and glory of its illustrious past still prevails. Be it dazzling temples, spectacular palaces, a world-famous floating market or colorful Chinatown, each of these famous places has an intriguing story to tell. It’s my mission to discover what each attraction of Bangkok has to offer and open my mind to new sights and sounds which will blow my mind. It is going to be  an extremely exciting trip where I am preparing myself to expect the unexpected!
